The Mayan calendar, while it use to be known by few who loved history and astrology; has become a world-wide sense of reality and prophecy. The Mayan calendar is known to be a system of many distinct calendars in conjunction with almanacs which were used by the Maya.
This Mayan calendar system is thought to be based on system that dates back before sixth century BC. It is speculated to share many different aspects with other calendars that were employed in early Mesoamerican civilizations.
While the Mayan calendar is as old in time as it’s writings. Many people in this era will remember it for a lifetime. Especially it’s abrupt end in the year 2012 which has spurred on many a speculation on the plant’s alignment and earths end.
